ABOUT ME
STEPHAN SEILER
I’ve been working as a professional Drum Teacher since 2012 and I am thankful to have met students of all ages and abilities and get so much satisfaction from seeing how they grow and develop in their skills and performance. I studied at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford, Surrey and got my Diploma and Higher Diploma in Drum Kit studies. After teaching for a while in the UK I spent 4 years teaching drums in Dubai, UAE. Aside from teaching I am an active performing drummer travelling the world, playing drums with numerous bands.

DRUM LESSONS
Begin or continue your journey
My teaching style focuses on skills training, but also emphasises self-exploration and discovering a passion for something new.
I offer tailored tuition and plan the lessons according to the specific ability and interests of the individual pupil.
I currently travel to each pupil who normally provides their own drum kit, either acoustic or electric. No kit? No problem! I use a product called Aerodrums. Please see picture below to explain.
There are a number of drum books I would recommend depending on what interests you.
The minimum age I teach is 8 years and up.
AERODRUMS
Trying the basics of drumming without a kit
You play Aerodrums in the same way as you would any drum set – only, there are no drums! The drum sticks have reflective balls at the tip and drum pedals are replaced with a pair of special foot pieces with reflective material. I will provide a laptop and software which enables you to see what drum you are hitting virtually. It must be tried to be believed!
LESSON OPTIONS
Every individual learns at their own pace, that is why I offer 3 different lesson times. Feel free to get in touch and we can talk about what length of lesson would suit your needs.
"I started drumming lessons with Stephan just over a year ago as a complete beginner - having never played an instrument and couldn't read music.
Now I am whizzing through the grade books and playing along to rock, pop, hip hop etc... and loving every minute.
Stephan is very patient, encouraging and always manages to ease me through those brain failing moments when the sticks become frozen in my hands.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him."
